NORTH WEST COAST SICILY
FROM PALERMO TO CEFALÙ AND TRAPANI
from September 10 to 16, 2025
This newly designed tour along the north and west coast of Sicily takes a day longer than usual. The route leads from Palermo via Porticello to Cefalù and to the salt fields of Trapani in the west of the island.
The starting point is the capital of Sicily. We explore the old town with its many architectural highlights and the colorful, lively hustle and bustle. We enjoy Palermo's cuisine and drink an aperitivo at the blue hour with the most beautiful view over the city.
A day trip from Palermo takes us to the west coast of Sicily to the picturesque salt fields between Trapani and Marsala. The many windmills on the shallow waters and the glistening white salt hills provide us with a very special photo opportunity at sunset.
On the morning of the fourth day, we meet our chef Salvatore and buy the ingredients for our dinner with him at the Mercato Ballerò. In the afternoon, we prepare the dishes together (helping out is optional) and spend the evening in a cozy atmosphere. We move our accommodation from Palermo to Porticello.
The following day, we set our sights on the picturesque fishing village of Cefalú. The cathedral, the narrow, lively streets, but also the many views of the azure blue sea offer us many varied picture motifs.
The last few days are also filled with exciting trips through the beautiful landscape of the Madonie mountains to Castelbuono or to the medieval village of Caccamo and Borgo Parrini.
